i just wanted to know how hard it would be to build my motor from the bottom up. im pretty confident i can do it but other than going by the helms book is there anything else i need to know to build a turbo motor? and is O-ringing the block necessary?

Difficult, but not thoroughly difficult, just depends on how big a car buff you are, and how much $$$ you have

 

if u want to build ur motor the helms in my opinion is not an option but a neccesity

 

but other than going by the Helms is there any other little tips and tricks i need to know about
