I was just wondering how fast a boosted ITR is....i just raced one in windsor (canada) and i kept up with it....I'm assuming he had a stock motor and was boosting less than 8 pounds....btw i have an H22A stock w/ 9 pounds....

 

Unless he built his motor, odds are he is running 6 pounds, 7 at the most unless he is nutty.

Actually, if it's tuned he can run more....Can't really tell you unless I know what kind of stuff he has done to it. But your run of the mill bolt on turbo kit ITR guy is probably not running a lot of boost.

Uhh, well it's driver dependent, and there are tons of variables, but expect one to run low 13s on average....Maybe high 12s if they are excellent.

Best way to find out how fast your car is - take it to the track! And post your results....

 

Just as a kinda starting point - I don't have an R but I have a Civic Si with an R motor in it, turbocharged at 6.5 psi. At that boost, I'm making 251 whp with a 3" exhaust and Hondata 3B, tuned (remotely, heh) by Payn Tech. I've pulled a solid two cars on a 2001 Camaro SS from a 5 MPH roll (HE wanted to race from a roll, it was not my doing) so I'm hoping for mid 13's on street tires. I'll post up times as soon as I get them. Good race! EV.

Todd, I think your car is good for alot better then mid 13's.. Make sure u get some good tires on that thing, I want to see u run a high 12.. u can do it!

 

You from Ann ARbor too? Small world, me too, I drive a 99 Si, I will be heading to Payn Tech on Monday to show them my turbo kit so they can give me a idea on what's needed or whatever.

Can't say that I have seen you around before though.

 

JRSC Rs are not very fast at all. If he just bolted on the kit, he'll be lucky to put down 210 whp, many only make as little as 190

I actually live in detroit, but i go up to ann arbor every weekend.....maybe we can hookup...one of my buddies has a supercharged AMG C43 that makes 400+ to the wheels is coming up from ohio....we gonne tear it up on M-14 this weekend

 

I live in Indiana, (South Bend to be exact)... the guys at Payn should know my name - just tell them Todd from South Bend, Civic Si with the R motor. They tuned my car N/A, now I've just gotta build the boosted motor and take it back up to 'em. Call me skeptical but you guys really don't understand how bad this track is... we have two B16A EF hatches around here, should be easy 14's (they each have i/e) and neither of them can beat a 15.5@ 88 MPH or somethin like that. Our LS1 f-bodies turn high 13's stock, and even with 200 whp N/A, I couldn't get lower than a 14.4 despite 2.2 60's. That makes me the only person with 200 whp N/A who couldn't bust 13's on street tires, so trust me when I say this... mid 13's just aren't gonna happen at this track. Route 66, now that's another story... EV.

ps - I should mention that the day I ran my 14.4@97 N/A, I ran my friend's AWD Talon from a no-launch start. Beat him by two cars up to 110, he turned a 13.3@105 that same day, didn't change a damn thing. My track sucks, EV.

Turbo R's are fast and all but I think if your going to turbo and R you defeat the purpose of buying one. The car is ment for all motor due to its compresion but hey do what you like. Turbo R isnt something you **** with
