I read a thread about this a week ago, but I can't find it now.

Greddy EGT probe, how is it suppose to stay in? Theres a spring and **** there but its way at the top of the probe. Does the crush wahser hold it in place when tightened very tight?

Also I'm drilling the hole with a 5/16's then tapping it with 1/8 NTP 27 pitch. Sound good?

That is correct.

 

The fitting screws into the place you tap it but the probe can move in and out. But I see the crush washer hold the probe in place.
