how do you keep the filter on the side of a missing link in?

Default how do you keep the filter on the side of a missing link in?

My friend wanted to use my missing link and he is pushing about 15 pds and the old filter blew out of it. I have new pieces of filter but i cant get to to stay in is there any tricks or am i missing a piece?

edit is a synapse missing link

haha unfortunately yes they i got it with a old school i dont plan on running it anymore but i want to sell it to a friend that needs it but i gotta fix it first guess no one has an answer huh
