Default How do you do a leak test on an intercooler?

I just got a good deal on a FMIC, in fact here are some pics.

So it looks in very good condition but I want to know how much pressure it's good for, so, do you have to take it in somewhere and get them to do a leak test or is there a way to do it yourself?

If you do take it a shop, any idea what kind of shop would do this? I don't live in the states so we don't have a Pep Boys but I'm more looking at what kind of shop would do this...muffler shop, welding shop, body shop???

If you can do it yourself, fill me in on the details.

Also, I'm a little unsure of who makes the core. The guy I bought it from said he thought it was spearco but wasn't 100%. It looks very solid and seems to be made very very well. There is only one marking on the core and here is a picture of it.

Does this mean anything to anyone? Can you determine who makes the core by this marking or does someone else have this marking on your inter-cooler, if so, who is it made by?

PS: I got it for $350 cdn which is like $250 US and I got it local so as you can imagine it is a very good deal.

Get a bike inertube cut it and loop the intercooler. Fill with air and put it in the bath tub. If you see bubbles you got a leak.
