How Do I Get A Higher RED LINE????????????????
I have a 93 civic ex with a D16Z6 motor built bottom end like rods pistons and crank but my head is bone stock and i want to know if its possible to have a 9 grand rev limit with a bone stock head bye just changing out my stock ecu for a chipped ecu ??? or what will i need to do this. it is also has a t3 t4 hybrid turbo and complete msd and 550cc inj. clutch kit and a few other mods thank you for any help

if the power will continue to make power that high than it is possible.
But u will def break something a 9k on a Dseries. If ur looking to rev, buy a B.

not only do you need better, stiffer, valve springs and retainers but cams to make power to that rpm otherwise it would be pointless but also balance that bottom end. the turbos turbines housing has to be at least a .63 to also keep making power up top otherwise it will just start droping way before 9k.
btw a chipped ecu? so the car is not tuned? what kinda chip is it? unless you whant to blow it up then dont do it without tuning no matter what rev limit.

Do some reasearch here: http://www.turbod16.com .
There are guys revving to 8 all over the place (built heads), but 9K on a d?!?!?!
There is no way your stock head can handle it. I revved to 7.5K ONCE on accident (on a downshift) and broke a tappet in the rocker arm. Drove home on 15 valves.
The short answer is a chipped/OBD1 ECU
And how are you running 550 CC injectors on a stock ECU?

It's cool, I'm a Dseries guy so that's closer to the front, Bseries I still need to go digging in the back for answers.

well my civic red lines at 7500 rpms stock anyway and the turbo still wants to go past that so i figure that a higher red line would give me that power its trying to make i know that a micro polished and knife edged crank can run a 12000 rev limit but need to build a head that can hold that ( not likely) but a 9grande rev is possible on a d seires i have seen it done and that car is still running great! and how my car is running with 550cc injectors on stock ecu is that i have a vafc-2 and i know thats not a good tune tool but it works i just had to turn fuel map to like -35 lol but any way my civic with what it has now will run 12s in the 1/4 mile . i have a D16Z6 stock head built bottom end ( rods crank pistons 8.5.1) and a complete MSD ,external coil t3 t4 hybrid turbo on 15lbs boost turbo comes in at 4500 to 5000 rpm...lol, clutch stage4, front mount intercooler, Vafc-2 but the point is that with this setup i should have a higher rev like 9grande .

If you have seen it done, then why are you asking us?
You do realize you are going to have to come up with some radical cam design to make power to 9k, right? As far as knife edging a crank goes, that's for NA... not boost. Go ahead and post up your dyno chart so we can analyze things for you better.

Periods aren't just for women you know.
honestly, you don't need a higher red line, you need better engine management.

From the look of your setup, you have a lot more to worry about that a higher red line https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1945616
