Default How to connect Down Pipe to CAT?????????

Hey guy's. I just got my DP today and I was looking at the flange to connect to the CAT. How are you supposed to connect it to the CAT? I dont see a lip for a donut gasket. Am I supposed to bolt it straight to the CAT without springs? Is that what the flex pipe is for? Or am I supposed to get the cat modified? Thanks for any input guys.

I would think you wouldn't need the springs with the flexpipe...i would just bolt it up like that.

I didn't use springs on mine. I got a little aluminum flange to go in there though.

to what i beilive that the bolts with the spring take up the flexing action but now you have the flex pipe so i would gess that you dont need them

and if you use the doughnut i beilve it is alot smaller like a 2 1/4 if not smaller and that wouldnt be very good

You should probably have a matching welded onto your cat...that's the same type of flange I'm using on my new dp and I'm also using a regular gasket (not a donut). You're not going to use the stock cat, are you?

OK. So are you saying that I need to get an identical flange that is on my downpipe and get it welded to my CAT. Then put a gasket inbetween there? And no I am not using my stock cat. Thanks for the reply's.

Right, if you're not using a stock cat, just get an identical flange to weld to your cat and bada bing.
