Hood for Turbo???
Hey whats up? I just bought a turbo kit for my B16a and I don't know that many people around here with honda's besides me. Well I went to the track on Wed. and a guy there told me that when I put on my kit its gonna be so hot it will screw up my hood. I have a the Black widow 2 hood from ground designs, is this true? I didn't believe him because he wants me to sell him the hood, I think he's full **** and just wants my hood. If it does put a lot of heat on the hood do you think if I put some sort of heat shield or something it would help? The hood wasn't cheap so I don't want to screw it up.

Re: Hood for Turbo??? (zippeay)
a turbo isn't going to mess up your hood. the only way it 'could' mess up your hood is if you run an open wastegate and point it directly up towards your hood. I've seen an idiot do this and it made the paint on his hood flake off.

[QUOTE=R6Elmo]a turbo isn't going to mess up your hood.
exactly. i have been running a turbo w/o a heat shield for the past 6 months and i have not run into any problems. if it would have messed up my hood, i would have already b/c texas summers are brutal.
