Hondata's ful-throttle shift feature...
I heard that to install the hondata full-throttle shift feature you have to sacrifice cruise control. Is there a way around this? I really want to have this feature but I don't want to give up my cruise control.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Yeah, doesnt have anything to do with the cruise. You remove the cruise switch that turns off the c.c. when the clutch is pressed in.
All i did was remove the next switch up and put in the hondata switch there. But now I dont have to push the clutch in to start the car---i kinda like it though, makes it easier to start the car when your working under the hood.

If you use the position where the cruise switch is then just take and connect the 2 connectors that plug into the switch together like I did and then you dont have to worry about it. The only thing is if you press the clutch the criuse wont go off....
I only park in gear when I'm worried about the car getting towed or something, now at least they have to bash the window to move it
What if you are in a parking lot, put the car in gear and then think... wow I don't have to push my clutch down-- what a neat feature... start the car... crashhh haha

I read that somewhere (I guess it wasn't this board) so I e-mailed Hondata. Apparently, with the bracket that they provide, you have to sacrifice cruise control. If you build a custom bracket then you will be fine.
Cruise control works fine, it just won't disable cruise control when you press the clutch down. You have the do the necessary wiring, though.
