can a hondata tuner change from closed to open loop? if i switch to open loop will that able me to only use 1 o2 sensor(pr3 ecu in a turbo crx)? is there any disadvantages to running an open loop? i'm trying to figure out a way to use stage 2b on my turbo crx.

 

You can run in open loop, but it will need to be very well tuned or you will get terrrible gas mileage. In open loop, it will not read the O2's at all. Ideally you should just put bungs in the correct locations and run the 2 O2 sensors that the ECu needs to have.

 

i would be using a revhard turbo manifold so is the correct placement of the o2 sensors even possible? what if i just used one or two o2 sensors on the downpipe? anyone done this?
