Default Hondata rev limiter

Should i be afraid of the fuel cut that hondata has as a rev limiter??

do i need a ignition cut?

Im told if i hit it hard enough, it will blow my motor in a second. But on the other hand im told i dont need to worry about it.

The Hondata rev limiter/boost cut is a fuel cut. Your rev limit should be set high enough so that in case of a misshift you aren't sitting on the rev limiter. I've hit the boost cut and rev limiter many times on my own engine and never had any issues. If you sit on the rev limiter, however, you will do damage to the engine.
