I have a question about a hondata set up I just bought for my civic, i'm new to engine managemnt and want to know if there is supposed to be a chip in the ecu even if it is already set up for the s200 blue box?

ur ECU needs to be chipped with a EOPROM chip and CN2 harness chip provided, jump J1, and ROM socketed. PM me for pics.

You are going to need the following besides the hondata unit which you already purchased:
1. Obd2b to obd1 conversion harness - check out http://boomslang.us
2. Obd1 chipped hondata ready ecu - check out http://phearable.net
3. Dyno tuning from a Hondata tuner
