Hondata issues (not the program, the company)

I've been running Crome for the past year or so on my Honda, decided it was time to stop playing with toys and get something real. So I invested in the Hondata S300, sent my good ole' chipped ECU off to Hondata also for them to resocket it and get it prepared.
This was 2 weeks ago.
Yesterday I got a call from the shop that had sent my ECU out for me, apparantly the chipping done to my ECU was subpar and they were afraid they might lift the tracks or something or other. Basically said that Hondata said I would need another virgin P28 ECU or buy one of Hondata's... ok well I need my car back so I just bought one of theirs.
Today came and both ECUs (Hondata ready one and my old Crome one) showed up at the shop, so I picked them up. However, Hondata didn't send the actual hardware/software portion of their product... Christ I only paid $900 so far...
So basically I'm out still till Monday until I can get the rest of my order until I have a car.
I figured oh well, I'll just put my Crome ECU back in with it's chip and run that. Now, I tuned this car myself, it was running pretty much dead on AFRs wise, so when I plugged the car in and the car fired up and was idling at 16.5 I knew something was up. After letting the car warm up, I drove it out of my driveway, down the street. EVERYTHING partial throttle was 10.0 on the wideband. How does an ECU just forget it's tune?
I reloaded the same tune onto the chip, no difference. I hooked my Ostrich up and tried to richen idle. No changes, no matter what I did. WTF, this worked perfectly till the minute I pulled it off my car and sent it. Just happened to look into the ECU, and I noticed that the J1 jumper had been CUT!
WTF!? Why is this? Does this jumper need to be cut to do the modification for Hondata S300? They were only supposed to have "looked" at the ECU? I know that when you cut J1 it basically reverts the ECU back to stock when it comes to Crome. I'm just trying to understand why this was cut, as it is completely useless to me now (I'm not about to attempt to even touch these ECUs besides moving chips, let alone try to fix what is wrong with it). My biggest issue is that I need this ECU in working condition so that I can sell it and make some of my money back...
Sorry for the long read...

That is super easy to fix. just jump the circuit. j1 needs to be cut in order to install and have the s300 unit working. They probable started the job, didn't finish it for whatever reason and forgot to put things back to normal.
Is that all they touched? Hows j12 look?
Its easy and will take you a few minutes to fix.

Incorrect
+1 on the easy fix. Simply have j1 re-jumped
In my opinion they should not even offer the conversion service from a socket to the s300 style pins, there is too much of a liability on them if they screw up a trace.

EDIT:OOPS i had them backwards, which would mean you need to check out j12. its the blue set in my picture.....
j1 for stock/j12 for s300
Hmm i thought thats how it worked. When i socketed my ecu, I made jumper wires so i can disconnect and reconect j1 and j12. was told j12 to run s300 and disconnect j1 and j1 to run stock map and disconect j12. or was it the other way, id have to check to see how i left it

j12 has nothing to do with your maping
j12 is removed to allow hondata to properly datalog
j1 is the only jumper needed in order for the ecu to function with the hondata s300 system.
All of this data is clearly on hondata's instructions.

J12 is gone on both of my ECUs like it should be. I don't really get why the guys at Hondata would cut my J1, especially if there was no need for it.
I mean, I put it on my car and tried to drive it and everything, if I didn't have a wideband I probably would have ruined the engine.
Good news is that it's a quick fix and I have someone who can fix it for me without a problem. Thanks for the info guys, it has been much appreciated.
