Hondata or E-Mange?
Forgive me if these are totally different things as I still don't know a whole lot about turbos. I am looking a kit right now to buy for my LS Teg and I was wondering which one of these is better to use for fuel management? The kit comes with a FMU, would I be fine staying with that? I am only going ot be boosting 5-6psi as I am satying with stock cams, intake manifold, ignition etc for now. Anyway thanks for info you can give,
Ben

Re: (Team Underground Teg)
and I can say that e-manage is a pretty good tool ... at least, a bunch of people think so ... Not that I'm saying bad things for hondata, just not saying bad things for e-manage as well .....

bang for the buck isnt always the best term to use when talking boosted cars. save and do it right the first time and it will save you more money in the long run. ive learned this the hard way,i got this greddy kit and im unhappy with it. so next winter im going to have to buy a turbo/manifold,wastgate and downpipe.i just spent all that money on the greddy kit and all im going to use is the piping and bov/intercooler.just something to think about

Alright I guess I didn't mean it like that, don't worry I am not skimping on fuel management. No way am I ruining my engine by going half-***. I just wanted to know what was the best for the price.

That's an easy answer... Uberdata. It's the same thing as Hondata, except it's free.

That was exactly what I was going to say. I would go with the Uberdata over the Hondata b/c it is by far the best bang for your buck. The software is free and there are members on here that can chip it for about $65. BTW isn't the emanage a type of piggy back, please correct me if I am wrong but I'm pretty sure that I saw that in SCC.

nnoooooo get 550 or 720cc injectors (same price so why not get bigger ones) and a hondata.

YOU have to look at what you want to do with your application. Both have their advantages and disadvantages, though many people here are "standalone" nutz that like to be able to believe that because they have EVERY bell and whistle at their disposal, that they need it.
The E-manage has some limiting factors, true, but not as many as you think... You need to find out what your power goals and what the mission of the car is. Once you do that, THEN you can assess which is the better "bang for the buck".
