hondata and crome pro
is hondata and crome pro the same thing? i need to get my car retuned, i have a hondata computer but there are no hondata tuners anywhere in my area for a reasonable price... if i get crome pro and a new socketed p28, will i loose anything over the hondata or is it bASICALLY THE SAME THING?

they are not the same but both will do what you want to do, but you'll pay much more for it with hondata.

If you have a hondata chipped P28 you can use it with crome or crome Pro.
There is no need to get a new ecu. Just get into contact with whoever is going to tune your car and ask what they want to tune.
I would go crome pro or S300, but the S300 will require a new socket, which is basically getting a new ecu.
So my vote would be crome pro.
S300 and crome pro are basically the same as far as software and features, S300 is a little nicer to tune, but definitley more expensive.

It is stored in the chip. It has nothing to do with power to the ecu.

Re: (redskittle)
the chip is in the ecu.. depends on the chip if it is 29c256 you can just write over it a new tune.. so if you do that, obviusly you will lose the last tune that you had in it.. well you can save whats in the chip to a soft copy.. hth's
