Hondata or Crome?
I picked up a older Hondata Stage 2 unit a few months ago, and recently I decided to go turbo. I've heard good things about Crome on boost applications, so would it be a better choice to go with Crome?

Im using a P28 with Crome Pro on my EG9 B16A2 and I can honestly say it's excellent.Xenocron sorted me with a tuner package.I had never tuned using this system before but found it really easy.No hesitation,AFR's are good.MPG is good too! As good if not better that the standard P30 ecu that was on my car

I actually picked up the older stage 2 unit for $90, i had no idea it was "defective".. should I ebay it and go with crome?

Well honestly I bought a Hondata S200 for my turbo Civic after I sold my AEM EMS ( I was having a few bugs and never got the car running good on this system ) and a friend of mine decided to install Crome on my P28 ECU. The car runs so nice since he installed Crome that my Hondata S200 is still in my garage. I just keep it because I had a nice deal on it.
I dont know anything about tuning and these software but all I can tell is that it really do the job just like a Hondata and its almost free.

I can tell you this with like $300 total for the set up which includes
an Ostrich Romulator-$175
Burner- Chipping kit from xenocron $135.
I also had my friends buy some chips for like $25
I have tuned three of my friends cars. The Ostrich is not necessary but will save you tons of time. We all have widebands so that was not an issue. Xenocron has great deals with widebands for like $500. I am very happy with the set up as I can log, and tune. I do not even have pro which I will be getting soon as I heard it will simplify things. Just read and research. Good luck. Ps I tuned my car just with the bruner and two chips at the begining.

i have used both crome and hondata. the only MAJOR difference are the nitrous controls. or if you have s300, i think there's a gear dep. boost upgrade. at least mine has it. both programs have worked great for me. hondata can idle large injectors a little better than crome i would say, but overall, the same stuff.
one odd thing .... the reason i went to hondata is b/c we tried tuning my car on crome again, and it wouldnt respond. nothing we did would add any fuel. switched out to hondata, perfect. never seen that before, or again.
