I havent been able to get on HMT for 24 hours almost now

Just wonderring if Jeff is flopping over to V2 or if everyone can get on fine or not

I need a freakin address from my pms

 

I haven't been able to get on for a while.

 

yeah i havent been able to go on hmt since yesterday

 

alright as long as it aint just me, someone might be pissed there **** isnt sent out today but I guess I couldnt do anything

 

just tried. no HMT for me either.

Nope its still down, I just tried again.

 

HMT was attacked last week, then again attacked this week. It doesnt really so much affect the server. It just really pisses off the ISP. What exactly is happening someone hacked into a router and is sending millions and millions of bites of data to our IP which slows us down and the ISP customers.

So now the question is... who is going to host hmt's IP? is this going to happen again?

I'm guessing were gonna be down for weeks, sorry guys.

Is there any way we can find out who did it? I don't know much about hacking but I'm sure there are some fellow H-T members that could f#ck his **** up!

It's not like HMT got hacked or anything.. its more like HMT didnt get hacked and they had to get us another way. It's really petty **** if you ask me, the server is fine everything is all there. I redirected HMT to Draglab.com my other server for the time being. It's one ******* computer geek who had a problem with us

The attack came from a server in Canada, but that server probably had no idea it was even doing it.

The only way I could get it back up if I was to setup a business dsl line on my own and pay for that. But hmt needs atleast 1meg up and the price is around 165 a mo.

DoS attacks are real tricky to deal with. Long ago the server my site was on was getting DoS attacked daily. No matter what they did, it didn't stop. I can't remember what they did to get the person to stop, but I remember it was a pain because it'd take forever just to load up my simple page.

 

that's fuxxored. When HMT comes back up I bet we'll have a gang of write-ups and turbo instal posts with all this time. hahaa
