Default High rpm missing...

My car is being weird.. I have new plugs, same as what I always have, gap is set at 28thou.. my timing is correct, just recently is seems to be hesitant in the higher rpm's between 6- 7700rpm.. its ran fine for a year, tuned properly.. just cant figure it out? the only I noticed was my oil level being a little bit over full by about 1/4" maybe a [pejorative] hair more.. would that cause the problem?
Its boosted 1bar and built gsr block, stock b16a head full race style ram horn mani.. the works. stock sleeves though.
Any thoughts as what might cause it to studder?

Do you have a wideband on the car ?
If not, get one. If you do, what a/f ratios are you seeing ?

Timing belt is new since last year.. I'll re check the timing again.. and set the gap on the plugs to 26 thou also, hopefully it does something. No i dont have a wide band, and my car was professionally tuned.. it was running mint till a couple dayz ago. maybe a loose ground or something.. thanks
ps: how much do digital wide bands go for cost wise? i would like to get one..

You should have a wideband on the car....
Wideband gauge systems cost around $280-300

Personally I think it is a MUST to have a wideband on a turbo car, especially considering that stuff breaks and things do go wrong, it is really kinda cheap insurance.

This would be my guess or at least the first place I would look. I had the exact same issue about half a year ago. Turns out my rotor was destroyed. It was about a year old at the time. First it started with an occasional high rpm miss. It progressed to the point where it would barely rev over 6k.

Bad spark plug wires will cause your engine to missfire.

My cap and rotor look fine.. I scraped off any build up inside the caps prongs, just had little flakes of wear on them.. I scratched off the burn spark spot on the rotor aswell, since both are fairly new.. my spark plug wires are ngk's bought them new, have had them on for 6 months now..
hmm its still being a beeotch.. I'll throw on my old crappy msd 8.5mm plug wires on, see if that makes any difference.. I never had a problem with those wires before.. I just dont like msd..

what's the gap on your spark plugs?

it may not be missing, you may be blowing out the spark on the plugs.

EDIT: I see it's at .028.

I'd say close it to .023-25 and see if that helps.

Yeh, I havent set the gap to 26thou yet but am gonna in a few min.. screw the msd wires..
My tuner had my car for a week and reset the gap from my 26 to 28 thou.. I'm setting it back.. that should be the prob.. they should be a nice tan color right.. they looked tanned when i had it at 26 thou now they are a bit blacker from that extra 2 thou.. I'm sure that the prob.. I hope..
