Default Here is my dilemmia

i have a 1999 em1 with gsr cams and a 3 angle valvejob and port and polish. i got a great deal on a mani and downpipe, https://honda-tech.com/forums/forced-induction-16/any-idea-who-made-manifold-2566259/, i also have a bare 1999 gsr block sitting in my garage. should i build up the gsr motor with the b16 head or just build the b16?

i would build the gsr if your going to leave both bottom ends stock. the gsr bottom end is much more stout that that of the b16 also the gsr has better cylinder walls that will be able to handle more abuse than the b16 ones.

that is incorrect. one is not really any better than the other.

get one! you can pick one up used for a $100 or so... maybe less, maybe a bit more... displacement is your friend!
