Here is another Vortec Fmu question.....
Once my car gets of the body shop I will bolt on my drag lll kit but till than I had a question regarding fuel control.
I'm gonna be runing my stock injectors for a while and will try to boost up to 10psi with that set up till I get a headgasket and some bigger injectors,
but thats another post anyways.....
I have purchased a Vafc, and a wallbro 255 pump, now I was wondering if I will have any fuel problems running those two systems with the vortec fmu provided in the drag lll kit. If you already know a potential problem please let me know!!
I was also wondering if I will have to get another disk for the fmu to run this setup safely?
Thanks in advance.....

10 psi on stock injectors is kind of pushing it.I'm sure they will take it but how long i dont know....i would go with 6-7 psi to start with.plus if your plan to run 10 psi or more you will need to tune your car really well, that is kind of high for stock internals(if that is what you have)i have heard of an integra ls running 13psi on a stock block with no problems but that car was really well tuned..

Re: Here is another Vortec Fmu question..... (newgsr)
PESONALLY I wouldnt go beyond 5-6 psi on stock injectors. Just too much fuel pressure for me. I didnt like hitting 95 with my JRSC.
I am planning on installing my 310cc injectors with my Drag kit and running lower idle pressure and a lower rise rate than the Drag kit would normally run on stock injectors

I am running all stock internals till I get more money to build my car .
I also wanted to know what the fuel pressure is going to be once I bolt the kit on, I don't plan on installing the inline fuel pump because of the wallbro intank.
But the most important thing that I want to know is, by puting the vafc, wallbro, and vortec fmu on the car is if it all will be compatible to eachother and if it will help me with getting my car to run good???
Thanks!!!

Damn that sucks!!
What about this scenario
10psi + 370 injectors + FMU + walbro intank pump = ?
Also, would buying a recalibration kit be helpfull in this situation? If yes, which one?
Thanks!!

Re: Here is another Vortec Fmu question..... (TurboInteg95)
How about just bolting a Drag III kit on with just stock internals on the 01 GSR and whatever fuel stuff the Drag III kit comes with around what psi is it safe for street daily driven??? Also at around what PSI is necessary for me to start upgrading the internals and fuel pump etc when i up boost???????? Thanks for the help.

keep the boost low to start with 6-8psi. Run the stock injectors with bothm pumps the walbro already cuts out at 90psi anyways so its not really reccommend to just run it by its self.
you need something like 370 + 6:1 fmu + Both pumps plus a negative setting on the VAFC to tune the injectors that will boost fine to 10psi.
