igot a greddy PRofec-B-Spec 2 boost controller.
i hooked it up just like the greddy manual said.
"nc" port on valve unit --hose--- compressor housing on turbo ( pressure source).
"com" "" "" "" "" -- hose--- vacuum line on EXTERNAL wastegate.
took test drive and no control at all. felt the same at 0 boost as when i turned it up and vice versa. i dont want to damage my engine by not having a set boost pressure... esp. because i havent built my internals yet on my b16a2.
so 1. there are 3 ports on the greddy boost valve unit under the hood.
"com", "no", & "nc".
so since im only usin 2 of the ports ( nc & com) shouldnt i plug the 3rd one!!! im thinkin this is the major problem. that its the leak in the vaccuum.
2. the guy that had it hooked up b4 me was using a 3 way "T" fitting with his manual boost contoller.
like so --- "nc"--hose-- T -- hose--compressor housing
hose
wastegate
( there are two taps into the wastegate, the vaccuum on tap, and one on on the side) then he had the other end of the manny bc straight to the vaccum port on the wastegate.
im wonderin if i need to use this 3 way T fitting with the electronic bc as well.
so please any help would be tremendously useful!!! i need 100% guarentee that all the hoses and fittings are installed correctly! thank you.

Ok, you want to put the NO (normally open) port to the compressor housing and the COM to the Internal Wastegate port. Also, here's a link to the manual on greddy's website in case you didn't have it.

the internal wastegate port? i have an external wastegate though..
there are two ports on my external wastegate. on top labeled "vaccuum" and one on the right side. do u mean the port on the right side? i was using the "vaccuum port".
thank you for the help.

Oops, my bad, don't know why I read that as you had an internal wastegate. With an external gate, you want to put the NC(normally closed) to the top port of the wastegate and on the bottom port you want to put to the intake manifold or the compressor housing. The other port on the greddy solenoid, the COM one, should goto the compressor housing or intake manifold also.

ok so i should use the 3 way T fitting then.
thats funny cuz the greddy manual states that the "nc" should be directly connected to the compressor housing or pressure source.. and i saw the "com" port and thought "com- pressor" so that makes sense now.
okay so ill hook up like this?
( T= 3 way fitting)
com---- hose--- T-----hose--- bottom wastegate port
hose
compressor housing
and then the nc port ---- hose--- vaccuum port on wastegate.

Damn, just looked at the greddy install manual again and noticed that the COM should goto the top port not the NC, just switch the NC and the COM. Sorry, prolly this NyQuil that's got me messed up

ok. ill see what happens.
i plugged the one open port ( no) on the valve unit with just a normal bolt.
is that safe or does it matter? should i leave the "no" port open ?

hmm, not sure about blocking the NO port, give it a shot. Also, make sure to follow the directions in setting the gain and such so you don't spike boost.
