Default Help TurboXs hp MBC single stage

I have a TurboXs hp Manual Boost controller single stage. I turn down the boost all the way "the blue side" But the brass side I dunno where to set it or reset it. I turnt it all the way down the other day and went for a test drive and it went all the way up to 18psi. I was wondering if anyone know how to reset it or close it all the way and start over from your spring settings. thanks in advance

1st of all you say MSBC. They have dual or quad. regardless they hook up and control boost the same way. The fitting that comes off the side of the 1st mechanical solenoid is your pressure source (i.e. manifold, compressor snell). The fitting that comes out of the bottom of that solenoid goes to your wastegate. Now with the Turbo XS, you need a 2mm hex key (allen wrench) to adjust the boost. It is on the solenoid itself.

With both of the adjusting screws intially fully closed (i.e unable to be wound any furhter in the clockwise direction) wind the first stage adjusting screw three turns in the counter-clockwise direction. This will reduce lag and increase the first stage boost by about one to two psi.

Hope that helps. Remember clockwise to reduce, counter-clockwise to increase. If for some reason that is not working at all, then remove it and go back to just the wastegate. Sometime the diaphram can be damaged if it has been hooked up to the manifold when the car is not under boost (vac).

I use one of those, works well after you figure it out. The top (blue part) screw I just turn all the way in and then back it out three turns. I tried adjusting it more, but got random results. the side screw (the brass part) turns the opposite way, and it's the one you use to control boost. if you turn it CW, it backs it out and lowers boost. If you turn it CCW, it tightens it and raises boost. Hope that helps, took a bit to figure mine out, but I installed and adjusted in on a dyno, so it made it a lot easier.

Turn the screws all the way out....counter clockwise.

On the brass side, you turn it about 1 1/2 turns clockwise (until the ball doesn't rattle). Turning them clockwise increases boost, the brass side is the course side and the blue is fine. one turn on the course is 2psi, and one turn on the fine side is 1 psi (roughly).

Its been a while since I used mine....but thats how I remember it.

No, really, CW decreases boost, CCW increases it. Here's the instructions from TurboXS:

The instructions are right. I have one of these boost controllers and that's exactly how it works.
