HELP-supercharged Civic needs a more HP please....
Hello, I am new to this forum and figured I have to start asking questions somewhere. Also I want to apologize that I could not post any pics at this time as I had trouble inserting images from my computer. Any advice on how to post saved pics would help too, LoL. Okay here is what I got
-'99 Civic EX 5 speed 4dr with the stock D16 motor and tranny (144K odo)
Mods
-JRSC professionally installed w/stock pulley dyno tuned @146.29WHP and boosting 6.94psi at the peak of the curve (96mph)
-lower end (cheap) header into exhaust system off an Acura RSX (quiet)
-Cold air intake
-Eibach struts
What I need help/consulting with is I want to get this car reliably up to around the 180-200HP area and would prefer using the supercharged setup I already have. I'm not wanting to spend thousands to get there either if thats what it would take. I know they make a different pulley I could swap out with but I was told it wouldn't do a whole lot. Is this true? What suggestions does anyone have to increase my HP using/improving my existing setup? Head work? Cam? An expensive header? I'm not looking to break any speed records, I just would like it a little bit faster than it is now.
Anyways the car is sharp looking and has been really well taken care of its whole life and looks like its a lot newer than it is. I do not drive it daily and it spends a lot a of time chilling in the garage. I want this sucker to be a runner but yet reliable in case I would have use it for work or something.
All suggestions will be read, except NOS suggestions, thanks ahead of time. BTW I have pics of car and motor.

Need to UP the boost, AKA a different pulley. I would say 9-10psi will get you in the area of where you want to be with a cam... and some headwork wouldnt hurt either.
I suggest the zex 59500 on singles. Seems to perform well with FI setups as well.
Going cheap on a header can also be a power killer, adding air at higher speeds/pressure requires it to exit at higher speeds with better flow and better efficiency. Might be an area to consider.
40whp is alot. I know for the typical turbo setup, typical as in what everyone is dailying from a "kit" with a 54 or 57 trim, with a good tuner and setup you can expect to gain 10-12whp per psi of boost. With that said I have no clue with a SC setup.
What kinda budget are you on?

higher compression, cam, better header, more boost by switching pulleys. Also look into modifying the intake manifold so that you can use a m62 blower.
There is a guy in the JRSC thread that has a custom manifold for his sohc and i believe he still has a jig for it. He made it like the LHT manifolds with cores in it for cooling after the blower.

Post up ur dyno sheet. Your exhaust system seems very restrictive. Fix that 1st before upping the boost.
What was the car tuned on?
