help sohc confusion

Default help sohc confusion

ok i ordered a d16z6 head from a shop called japandirect locally and it got here today and i start looking at it and the head says p08-1 and when i look it up on google it says that a p08-1 is a jdm d15vti>>???? will this work the same as a d16 head ? i have springs and retainers already will they fit in it>? im confused any help? and if it would work i have wiseco pistons for a z6 with a 9-1 compression what would my compression now be?

only reason i need to know asap is because i have an appointment to drop my motor off at the machine shop tommorrow and dont wanna machine something that wont work for me thanks

i think thats the jdm d15b vtec head, basically a z6 head with i think a very slightly different cam. i dont know about the compression ratio though compared to a z6..

It will bolt up the same. The D15b has a slightly better cam and a bit more compression to make up for the .1L less of displacement. BTW, the compression should be increase by the pistons, not due to a smaller combustion chamber.
