could it be the gasket between the IM & head? It has a coolant passage that is right next ro runner #4 of the intake manifold, but youd probably see #4 as being way cleanre than the other 3. Is the smoke always white?

is there any power loss ? or is it just white smoke ? and who broke the motor in ? Was the system pressuried before start up ?
