hey guys , so im driving on the freeway today , nothing was wrong , then all of a sudden my car shut down . i noticed my mph went to zero im not sure if it went to zero then shut down , or shut down then went to zero. im getting spark , and im getting fuel to the rail. but i dont hear my injectors priming when i turn the key on . also my main relay makes a funny noise when i go to prime it. and when i crank it , the main relay clicks on and off very fast , so thats what i thought it was . i changed the main relay and it didnt fix it . im stuck man i dont know whats going on . also its throwing a code 22 vtec malfunction???????????????????? please help me!

Sounds like you need a new ignitor. When was the last time you changed that?

 

never , but i get spark

 

What happens when you turn the key?

 

when i turn the key , sometimes the fuel pump and injectors prime , sometimes they dont , and the car will crank over fine with the jumper cables on(battery went dead trying to start it). but the main relay makes funny noises and **** , so i replaced it but it didnt fix it.

check all ur fuses. Could be your alternator is bad and ur battery is drained. check all the fuses.

 

Check all of your grounds. The one that grounds on the t-stat housing will cause you endless grief if it comes loose.

bump cause i no what its like to not have your car run right.

 

Blown fuse, bad relay, bad ground.

Any could cause unexplained power loss.

 

a 100% power loss with no starting at all????

 

Check your fuses (ecu fuse probally) sounds like the same thing that happened to my buddies car

 

i checked all the fuses , they are good.

 

where is the ecu fuse anyway? on my sheet i dont see it listed , or is it under a different name?

check your fuses, and maby try a different d series

maby starter is going on on ur dx tranny, fucken anything dx is wack right mark

 

Try the ECU fuse anway, it's under the hood. But if your fuel pump is priming, then you r ECU fuse is probally good. You checked all the fuses, but didn't see the ECU fuse, are you sure you checked them ALL, including the fuse box under the hood?

 

i checked them all and they seemed good , but i didnt remember specifically seeing it labled "ecu" i dont have the sheet for the dash ones.

its wierd , it doesnt prime all the time , and my injectors arnt working , because i cranked and cranked and cranked and the plugs were dry

 

yeah check the ecu fuse... this happened to my brothers accord once...

 

but did he get spark and fuel to the rail?
