Default help me interpret my dyno graph!

So yeah... I got a cheap $20 deal for a few baseline pulls. no tuning no nothing. I just wanted to get an idea of how much power I was looking at.

well i came up with this:

This is also uncorrected, and at 5000 feet of altitude, so I think with corrections it would be higher, but thats not my concern.

Here is my setup:

D16y8 with stock internals
Garret T3 .42/.48
DSM 450's
Walbro 255 lph
Running uberdata
log manifold, tial external gate merged into exhaust
2.5" dp to 2.25" full exhaust. No cat.
audi 5000 intercooler, 2" charge piping.
running 7-8 psi with an MBC

OK, so i have no idea why the heck my power starts to drop off at 5500, that just doesnt seem right. Based on my torque value (about 160) it seems that i have a lot of potential because there is a lot of torque there. But the HP peak seems really low, the torque peak seems about right. I am running rich, but I didnt think it was that rich, although up top my car was spewing out some brown gas smoke.

Is my richness up top killing it? or is it more likely my exhaust? I dont really care too much that he didnt rev it out all the way, it was obvious the power band was done with.

I am running about 0.8 degrees retard per lb of boost.

any experienced tuners out there who can help me interpreting this and what i need to do next?

This is on a vtec sohc right? If so, it seems you are not switching to the other profile which usually is in the 4200-4800 range on the sohc vtec. I however am not an expert in sohc boosted applications (all my boosted honda experiences have been b series with wich vtec kicks in later...), so I may be wrong.

I bet your wrong.

I would believe that Vtec wont kick in though, torque shouldnt drop that early. Turbo isnt that small, should be about 40-50hp higher tuned.

I'm willing to bet it's also the VTEC engagement....post up a .bin and what version of Uber you are using. Maybe, your timing is a little low....NM your torque is ok so that's not it. Look slike a breathing problem to me so it's either the cams not engaging (VTEC) or the turo can't breath (too small) or exhasut not breathing (looks OK for your power though)

Have you;

Checked your vtec solenoid wiring?
the solenoid itself?
any coversion harnesses you may have?
taken off the solenoid and cleaned it?

Also willing to bet its vtec...

i definintly don't think vtec is engaging. If you rev your car out slowly past the crossover point you should be able to hear it.

I think youre right guys. Would cleaning the solenoid help? I have an OBD1 conversion harness, i'll make sure nothing came unplugged on it, because I am almots positive that vtec worked before.

and yes, uberdata still incorporates CELs

So you aren't throwing any cel's? I would think that if it wasn't engaging that it would be throwing a cel.

nope, no CELs. I'd think it would too, but i guess if oil pressure simply isnt high enough it may just delay vtec or never quite hit it and not throw one. I really dont know, this is why i'm asking for help. How do i diagnose and fix this?

well, do you have an oil pressure gauge?? is your oil pressure switch hooked up in the back of the block?? what i would do is wire vtec directly into the ecu, and see if it works... good luck

thanks man i'm gonna be installing my oil press gauge real soon... thinking maybe either my oil pump is going or my vtec solenoid isnt functioning... gonna take it off and see if that filter screen is clogged.

I dont know about what it looks like for you but when i open up your map i noticed you havent changed the fuel modifiers...the value is still at 100 and the fuel modifiers isnt engaged you should put in the suggested value (53) for all the boxes and engage the fuel modifiers. I dont kno if it will solve this problem but it needs to be changed.

i don't think the fuel modifyers really have much to do with it. Sometimes i don't even enable the fuel modifyers and no probs.

s1ingle, i never heard back from you, hows the trac bar?

i had problems with mine not engaged..couldnt hurt to try. Also a problem i had with vtec was it engaging at a point 1000rpm above what i set it at in uberdata, like if i had it at 3000 it wouldnt engage till 4000. Try setting vtec at like 2000 lower than what its at see what happens.
