Default help me identify turbo

hey guys, i just got my turbo. It suppose to be a greddy turbo mani, dp from the soch kit. On the turbo it says td04h, the mani and dp says greddy, so I'm hope that the turbo is the 15g, and not a t25. This is the first time i've seen a turbo and it looks so small. Is there any way to to identify if its a greddy 15g?

Sounds like a the Greddy parts to me. The 15g is one helluva small turbo.

yep, sounds like the greddy turbo/manifold combo. think of it this way...it's small but it's bigger than the bulge in your pants

I was very happy with my greddy turbo when I first started boosting

I hope nobody thought I was bad mouthing the 15g. I have nothing agianst the 15g (I still run it daily) and love every second of it. for a quick spooling turbo that can still make some decent power.

if you got a single cam, the turbo will work good.

nope, didn't sound that way to me at all. I run it to and I admit it's a cute lil' turbo, lil' being the word. but it's a damn quick spooler and will put out good power up to 15psi all day long with a proper intercooler

grab the bolt on the compressor impellor (tongue twister ) and push it in and out...that will check in/out shaft play...and push it side to side next to check side/side shaft play.

after doing both of these repeat it again and while you are at the extreme on the in/out also try to spin it. and again while you have it bottomed out on the side/side play try to spin it. If it won't spin at all when either of these are bottomed out you might have some bearing problems. Bear in mind that a BRAND NEW greddy TD04H has a tiny bit of side/side play...I know...I checked mine fresh out the box and it did....but if the blades hit the housing and won't spin while like that then you need to rebuild the turbo or risk engine damage from lack of exhaust flow...if the exhaust can't go anywhere then you risk vapor locking the engine....
