Default Help me build my B18b for boost

okay... right now i got a complete b18b swap chillin in my garage! i wanna boost it for sure but i dont have hella money to go all out with it. I dont wanna sleeve the motor casue that is going to cost hella money! i wanna just build the bottom end for now and go from there... i got some questions tho...

1. What is a good compression to go with? i was thinking 9:1 or 9.2:1
2. What rods should i get?
3. do i need to do anything to the crank?
4. How much boost could my stock sleeves hold with a mild build bottom end?
5. Whats a good head gasket to go with?
6. Should i get stock length rods? what is stock length?

i wanted to boost like 15lbs for race... what do you guys think? help me out and give me some ideas! anything! but like i said befor i dont want to sleeve the motor casue that cost hella money! i dont plan on going all out with this motor... i want it to last... i just want a fast turbo car... not an all out drag car.... pretty much... give me any of your ideas for the motor, not just for the bottom end, but for the whole thing...

if tuned properly you can run around 15 psi on the stock block without any issues.

I would start working with a hondata or some nice ecu setup with some larger injectors.

I would reccommend for the head dual valve springs and retainer but thats about it.The stock valve springs tend to lead the valves to float at higher rpms

If motor mounts are what your looking for I'd recommend Jimfabs. I've got em and they work great.

slowek, I"d worry about getting the motor built and TUNED before you worry about the CTR lip and side skirts

just a thought, but it starts to add up faster then you think

<--jsrc intercooled project adding up

good luck

peace

Because i dont have one on my motor... hahah i dont plan to drop the motor with the turbo... imma run the semi-built motor for a little bit to break it in while i save money to piece together my custom turbo kit...

I sell OBD2->OBD1 harnesses, and also, if you're not running a vtec motor, all you need is an OBD1 PR4, P75, P74 or P06 to run hondata.

i heard that hondata s200 is best for tuning with a p28... and that hondata has a vtec kill switch or something so that i can run it.. im i wrong? if i am... what would be the best non-vtec ecu to run s200 with?

plus i was thinkin about gettin a vtec head... so i might need the vtec ecu...
What would be a tite head gasket? and would i get a head gasket made for my block... or for the B16 head? you knwo what i mean?
