Help!! LSD Questions??
take all the 12 mm bolts all the way around......
then take out the 2 12mm detents on the bottom side of the case....these will have a washer spring and ball dont loose them
take out the 14mm bol on the opposite side whcih holds the reverse gear
on the top of the case theres a 1/2 inch plug ...remove this to expose the snap ring that locks the counter shaft into the case...
use snap ring pliers to open up the snap ring and a pry bar to pop the case off

I just cant beleive that someone sent a hydro GSR w/ a LSD thats not fawked up to a junkyard. And if it ends up being ok, that is by far the coolest find ever.

The car may have been impounded or stolen/wrecked and sent to the salvage yard with no one having a clue a golden tranny was laying under the hood.
:Hood lifts, light shines and angels start to sing...:

good find!!
I got ultra lucky while climbing through a boneyard many moons ago. I was looking for EG6 headlights for H-T people when I came across a Gymkana Car (Kinda like AutoX) that had been stripped. They took everything except for the paint. Rollcage was gone, both bucket seats, motor, all brakes and suspension (Ohlins Pro setup for Gymkana and Project Mu 4 piston caliper), dash cluster, all gauges, fuel setup with Bosch Pumps and ATL fuel cell, Fiber doors and Hood.... blah blah blah. This car was naked I started laughing. Right as I turned to walk away why giggling I noticed a Honda Tranny sitting in a 4dr Toyota Sedan
. After seeing there was not a pin in the diff I held onto that transmission like it was an 80lb lump of GOLD.
The people in the Boneyard's front office almost had a heart attack when I walked over with the tranny on my shoulder. For $150 I walked away with a EG6 Y21 tranny that had almost new synchros and a Mugen 1.5way diff. The LSD has since been setup for drag racing but still works awesome for Touge runs.
The normal price for an S21/Y21/S80/S21/S4C is $150 and my favorite boneyard does not care if it has a diff or not
