help identifying gt35r
well i got a great deal on a gt35r and full race ramhorn, was told it was t3, but ive come to realize its a t4 housingpart number from the platehcm4474970645-5005it has an atp housing with 3" band outlet (definetly t4) by the vband it says a104.70 intakejust wondering how this turbo would perform on a 2.0L gsr, and if i should sell it or not, car will be daily driven and raced on the weekends

That's a broad question. I mean, you need to look a bit more on how its going to work for you by way of fitment in the car, use of the turbocharger, etc.. Are you a true 2.0litre, or just 84.5mm bore? That can make a difference. WHat power are you getting too? do you not mind a higher rpm band, and shorter powerband? These questions must be answered first before Yay or Nay to the turbo you got.

Re: help identifying gt35r
well its not quite a 2.0, but bored to 84mm
has portflow head
crower valvetrain
itr cams
its the atp .82ar housing i found out
and since i havent seen too many setups with the t4 35r i was wondering what spool characteristics would be like, i want 500whp on pump
also have full race ramhorn , and 3" dp
basically my setup can handle the power i was just wondering how much worse the spool would be compared to a .82 t3

Paul has/had a yellow hatch with a T4 GT35R that made right under 700whp at trackmasters. It was on a drag hatch so spool wasn't really an issue.
Personaly I wouldn't want anything bigger then a GT3076R on a street car. That's more then enough power to roast some BFGs.
If you got a great deal on it just run what you have.

Re: help identifying gt35r
well i had a 60-1 on my old ls and didnt mind the spool with that
and ive had a 60 trim on a b16 and thought that was fine, so hopefully this will be ok
my tuner said it wont be that bad at all (but than again he runs a t67 on the street

It's all relative to what they like ya know? That's why "how it will spool" is a difficult question to answer. What might be ok for some is down right out of the question for another.
Run it, try it, like it. Hate it, then sell it... Only way to really know.

Re: help identifying gt35r
good point, from driving so many different turbo honda's i have learned i personally Like some lag and would NEVER run anything as small as a GT28RS but there are some who think its the ultimate street turbo...
