I was told by the person I bought my car from that my car was tuned with a 5 ft long down pipe and that is it. I extended the pipe to the back of the car (3 inch). I want to put a muffler on it now. It is going to change the tuning of the car if I put a strait-through muffler on the end? It is set up for 25 psi.

 

it might make it a hair richer, but i doubt it will change anything significantly to notice, the pipe size is so large and the muffler isnt restrictive at all

 

Ya you shouldn't notice too much of a difference in A/F ratios or backpressure.

 

So if anything, I'll be running richer not leaner, correct?

 

it will run the same as long as its a straight thru muffler
