Help. Which CC clutch do I have?
So you can't trust anyone or anything bought from b20vtec.com. I bought an "B series Hydro ACT 6 puck clutch" from a member on there.
It's not ACT. I'm pretty sure its Competition Clutch, because on the Disc there are two C's back to back.
But I'm not sure which one it is. If I remember correctly, all CC clutches come with the same pressure plate, so I'm not worried about that. But the clutch disc is what I'm worried about. It's a 6 puck, and there are dual springs in it. Going by what CC's website says, the only 6 puck sprung disc with dual springs is the Stage 4 - Strip Series 1620 Clutch Kit .
I just want to make sure its not the stage 1 clutch kit, because that is not strong enough for FI (Going turbo LS, prob aroung 300whp).
So do any other discs have dual springs, or is the stage 4 the only one with dual springs? And am I correct in thinking all the PP's are the same? Thanks guys

Mine started to slip around 300 ft. lbs of torque and 400whp, I am pretty confident that it would have held more but I think it might have got fluid of some sort on it and ruined it.

I narrowed it down to a competition clutch by the back to back C's stamped on the disc as I said in the title and post.
Which clutch started to slip? The stage 1 or 4??

is there a part number on it, that would help. You could also try calling a dealer or Competition Clutch and ask them. They would probably know best

try narrowing it down, there are a whole list of CC clutches. look at the actual contact surfaces, they seem to be different

It's hard to tell by the contact surfaces, it's used so the color is probably off from when it was first purchased.
