On your turbo kit where should u use it...or if use it at all.

Charge pipe, downpipe manifold, dump tube.....where to use it?

I use it, and I love it. But I have a $20 cast manifold (ported STD manifold). Header tape can do a lot of damage because it insulates so well that parts see a lot more heat than they would otherwise. There's some misinformation floating around with regards to the wrap holding moisture and causing rust. That's a farce. And btw, jet coat doesn't come close to the insulative quality of header tape, although it is quite pretty in comparison.

Sorry about that. I only wrapped the manifold for a couple of reasons. One, that's primarily where you want to keep the exhaust as hot as possible. I did not wrap the turbo iteself becuase it would be tough to do for one thing, but also I think the center section would just get too hot and the bearing would burn to a crisp. As for the downpipe, on my setup it's pretty low, so it doesn't contribute much to engine bay temps anyway. All that to say, if you're gonna wrap anything, I'd start with the exhaust manifold.

any part that you wrap and will see heat should be thouroughly cleaned first or else it will give a chance for oils and dirt etc to etch/react with the metal in severe environment, cheapest way is sensor safe/residue free brake parts cleaner, spray down parts wait for it to evaporate and then wrap, this will also cut down on the severe smoking of freshly wrapped parts on start up.
aslo wear gloves - and maybe even mask and goggles, this crap is like the worst fibreglass you have ever tangled with!
