Default Head Work

One question. How much work do y'all think must be done to a B16 head to support 400-500whp ona 1.9l block?

depends on what you wanna spend. Go budget, do nothing and just be prepared for something to happen. Half *** it and just be prepared for something to happen. Go all out and spend the buck......just be prepared for something to happen.

Not much.
I'd do c1 cams, slightly beefier springs, maybe a mild p&p, oversized valves.

I'd also get a better I/M.

Don't bother with a P&P the head will flow enough for that power level.

Stock head can support that much power, however, you may gain 20-30 whp from a good ported head.

i plan for 500whp on my b16 head and the only thing i will have done is EF-1 springs and retainers and ITR intake manifold. Hopefully everything else will be fine.
