i have an lsvtec turbo setup and i was tearing my setup down and found that the cam journals near the tbelt side both have metal to metal type wear on them. i have the golden eagle vtec conversion kit but was wondering if anyone knows what the cause of this could be???
when i rebuild my setup should i get a higher flowing oil pump gear or was the cause from bearing failure and low oil pressure??,
i found no issues with the bearings though

any ideas would help

 

Are you sure the oil orfaces are installed? They sit under those two end cam caps. Also make sure the orings are on them and not damaged.
