Default Head gasket thickness?

I am starting a GSR turbo build. I bought my ARP head studs and now I need a head gasket.
Engine: B18C gsr motor
Plans: 57 trim turbo making around 290HP.

I hear good things about Cometic HG but what thickness should I get for my set-up?

Thanks.

if your block or head is milled, you might need extra clearance for piston to head tolerances, or piston to valve, if the reliefs are not cut enough. i belive oem headgaskets are 30 thou.

I forgot to write that since I'm going turbo I want to decrease the compression slightly with the head gasket without changing the pistons.

Well if its a USDM engine your stock compression is 10.0 a .050 Cometic headgasket will drop you down to 9.5 which is pretty good. But if its a JDM GSR engine the stock comperssion will be 10.6 so you will need a ~.070 to go down to 9.5.

Yes it's a JDM gsr engine. I'm definitely going to get a cometic gasket atleast 2mm thick. Aslong as my compression goes down to the mid 9's

perfect, that should put you just under 9.5, if using cometic just user there regular head gaskets, DONT use there O-ring gasket...

Yes I've read a post about the O-ring cometic gaskets, thanks.
I was looking online for a HG and one seller said that when using a thicker head gasket there will be a problem with the alignment of the pulleys, or something has to be adjusted....? Can someone confirm this?

If its too thick you could throw off the cam gears but its nothing adj gears cant fix.
