Default Head/ Block oil restrictor not installed!!

I did a search and no info was found. I am finishing up my current build (b18b). I wanted to know if any damage can occur if the head/ block oil restrictor was not re-install. I know the purpose of it ,but will it make that much of a difference. I figure it will allow more oil to the head. Engine builders, please give me your thoughts. thanks

Is it worth buying a new one... yes, is it worth taking your head back off to put it in... yes.

Your right, the only downside may be more oil pressure in the head, but that means your loosing oil pressure in the bottom (around all your bearings and stuff.) So unless someone has tried it will success, i would highly suggest putting it back in.

As I understand, not all engines have/need the restrictor. It'd be nice to have a list of which ones do and don't.

Most of my experience is with D series, which I've seen some of them installed, and some of them missing. All on engines that weren't opened up after the factory put them together.
