Default Has this happened to anyone else? (I doubt it).....

I was driving back from school today, and tried to roll up my drivers sid window.....
At first it seemed like it was jammed....so I turned the window down a bit....and then the god damn glass just FELL out of the bracket!!!.....the glass fell down into the door....and it looks like I'm gonna have to remove the panal....

Has this happened to anyone?

Am I going to need any special tools? How the hell do I even remove the panal?

If you dont have a tool for removing clips get two chop sticks so you dont break them all removing the panel.

yep i have had exactly the same problem with the window, i re aligned it and tightened it up but everynow and agin it drops out and is real real slowgoing up and tight in the seals, i think the likage gets bent and you can get it back straight, i think the only real way to fix is to get another linkage but if anyone else knows a cure i would love to know!! my door panel spends more time off than on!!

Same damn thing happened to me like 2 years ago. Window works now, but it's not quite the same. It's a little out of whack.

happends to me all the time, it is because of your seals that the window sits in. it only happends when it rains though, and i am sure that is when yours came off. i just used a flat head screw driver to pop my door pannel out

Well I fixed the window....
******* window glass slipped off the braket....
Just had to slide on the glass and tighten the bolts (easier said then done)

BUT.....I decided I'm going to gut my car

It has been in the back of my mind for quite some time, so why put the panal back on, when I can just leave it off???

The Drivers side door is done (plasitc removed....panal removed obviously)
I'm going to do the Passengers side tommarow...

I will have pics as soon as I get the other side done.

hahahah i totally forgot but...awhile ago this happened to me and the window smashed. this was in the evening, and i had to drive far to work. the next day, sunday, i couldn't find anyone to fix it, this was before i did any work on my car - i didn't even have any tools or a helms maunal <shudder>. monday morning it was raining....hard. ohhhh, what a mess that turned out to be! but i had glass coverage! so at least it was free.

only 2 factory-related problmes: 1.that window 2. distributor crapped out
