Hard decision..
Turbo is fun and all, but it all costs money.. endless amounts as it seems. Right now, i'm seriously thinking of selling my Civic and my Integra, and buying one of these..
Real deal JDM ITR.. while it looks great, it won't have a turbo, and the condition to getting one is that I keep it *stock*.. its not confirmed yet, but if all goes well, and I can sell my cars and get alteast half the value of this new car from selling them, then it may very well happen.
Am I doing the right thing? I'm more into power than looks.. but I like the look/shape of the new teg.. someone talk some sense into me, please!!
(going to check it out tomorrow at the car import showroom, will take my digi-cam with me)

Re: Hard decision.. (turbopanda)
fixing up two cars is kinda hard... what if you sold one of your cars, and took the money to make your one car even faster??

Re: Hard decision.. (SEFI8LOxCivic)
My civic is reliable.. since I've had the B20B installed, I haven't had one problem with it. The integra on the other hand, well its stupid fast, but its hard to maintain (and its hard trying not to kick down when there are open roads infront of you)
I want something that's still fast, yet reliable. I figured, normally aspirated would be the way to go, so why not get an ITR - 6 speed gearbox, sounds good for highway cruising (driving at high revs on my B16A gearbox in 5th gear on the highway in my Civic absolutely sucks) and i'm sure it could match the performance of my B20B, if not, better it..
My other choice was to get an Impreza WRX (the 280HP JDM one) or an Evo 7, but I don't think my dad would let me get another turbocharged car after all the fun he's seen me have with my boosted teg.. (i'm being sarcastic about the "fun" bit).
Argh!

I'd only do it if you're planning on getting into some "real" racing...like road-racing. if you're more into the street and the strip, I think this would be a poor choice. it'll be slower and cost twice as much as BOTH your cars...not a good idea in my book.

Re: Hard decision.. (turbopanda)
I was personally disapponted by the DC5 R. For the extra displacement and all, I was expecting a lot more better performance. Instead, the overall performance is about the same as the DC2 R. The only major difference is less harshness when V-TEC engages, smoother refined ride, a bit more quieter, suspension a tad stiffer, and 6 speeds. Other than that, the car does not surpass its predecessor at all. I would wait forthe second generation to come out before buyi this car...I'm sure it'll be better

ugh. rsx or integra over there, IMO, is waaaaaaayyy too tall. it's so high. it looks too fat, like an overweight eclipse. take a look and see. the roof is so high off the ground.

You will get tired of the all motor scheme. Specially after all this time you have been boosting and then step to a N/A car. It will be nice but you will get withdrawals.
Good luck on your decision !
