Default Haltech crank trigger issues...

I am told I need to replace the original crank trigger sensor on my E6K with a newer one to stop it from dropping out at higher rpms. I want to know if this is going to be a plug and play kind of thing? It appears to be, just bolting the new trigger to the bracket and connect the plug-in, but is there any kind of zeroing out or no?

if your talking about the factory honda crank sensor its a bolt on affair. unless the sensor is bad, you shouldnt be having high rpm issues. i run stock dist with my haltech

I run distributorless with my Haltech, but I think we're talking about the same thing. It mounts to a bracket above the crank pulley, and has a lead with a plug-in on it. I just wonder if there is a certain distance it must be from the crank wheel to pick up correctly. I don't think it's bad, but my tuner says that it could be the reason it's dropping out around 7500....
