H23 internal problems???
I have been hearing about problems with ringlands on H22 pistons. I was wondering if there are any common problems internally with the H23. With proper tuning will my internals be okay for say 8000 - 10000 miles? I am getting a little apprehensive about this and I cant afford to fix stuff right off the bat. Here is my setup, let me know what you think about boosting 8 psi.
T3/T04e turbo, HKS wastegate, Blitz BOV, Spearco intercooler, MF2 wiring and injectors, downpipe, manual boost controller.
Those are the basics, all the plumbing is taken care of too. Eventually Hondata, GE block, JE 9:1 and rods, but not yet.
Thanks for any help.

I am pretty sure we are ok with the h23's - a decent amount of people seem to be boosting them on stock internals with good results. I guess we'll just see how it goes, but I have never heard anything specifically about the h23 ringlands. I think the problem is more with h22a4's than h22a1's too. I might just spring for the hondata now though if I were you, since it won't be THAT much more than the mf2 and stuff.
