H22A vibration cures?
My H22A (2000 lude) vibrates so damn much, the wastegate dump tube fell off and needed to be refabbed and rewelded, also the cold idle valve nut on the thread kept coming loose as well and I have had nightmare idle problems.
I heard swtiching to an H23 tensioner or sumthing to that effect will help with the vibration.
What are all the steps that this transistion entails (parts, process and $$ wise) and how much will it help?

dude, i promise its not a tensioner problem. are the counterbalance shafts timed right. do you have a bad motor mount. has the car been wrecked in the front and not been fixed correctly.
It has not been wrecked, but the motor mounts are rubber, last time i checked, nobody makes poly mounts for 97 - 2001 ludes. The tech assured me the shafts are balanced...argg..frustrating
A tensioner isn't going to affect vibration. And the 4th generation ES motor mounts do fit the 5th gen - but they're only gonna make vibration worse.
Is your vibration only at idle & smooth out once you start acceleration, or does it get worse at higher rpms?

its so bad during accleration that my wastegate head unit has come loose several times and needed to be lock-tighted back on. Also at idle its pretty bad also, can see the wastegate and dump tube shake like an epileptic.
I hope someone will make poly mounts for the 5th gen soon
