Default H22a Turbo question...

Quick question on a turbo setup. An H22a with stock rotating assembly running a .63 trim turbo boosting 5-7 psi. Now, if the leak down and compression tests pass, would it be a reliable setup given that it will be tuned well (Hondata S-300) for the stock motor so nothing explodes??? Any responses are appreciated, especially people that know this setup...

Thanks...

tuning is a very important process in keeping a boosted h22 with a stock bottom end together.

Our shop has an Integra with a bone stock H22 (with the exception of the clutch and injectors) and we put down 466whp on 16psi. Rich Tuned the **** out of it! This weekend we ran a 11.5 on his tune. AFRs were perfect and the dyno sheet is a work of art!

If you want a killer killer tune Call up Rich Walker at SpeedFactory (915) 595-0000,
You can probably arrange for him to go out to you or you come down to El Paso, TX

Means nothing.... Power is what blows motors not "PSI" (or a bad tune)..... You can run a T25 at 25psi all day and be just fine, think about it...

Well i don't want to get into a pissing contest with you, but we have been running this motor since the ended of July almost every weekend with multiple passes per outing on the set up and its still very healthy. Now i'm not saying that it will last forever, but it can take quite a beating! So far at the local track, we are the fastest FULL STREET import ( i mean full interior, power steering, and spare tire) to run.....i know there are bigger dogs out there, but Rich is still ironing out the wrinkles, so we should be gradually be getting faster, and we have a Helluva driver too!

We have a t4/t67 with a .82 ar back side on it....@ 11 psi the car is making 421whp and 315wtq.......Good tune and nothing is impossiable......Rumors are why people dont build H22 motors.....we have beat the **** outta of this car since early july with around 30 passes at the track and probably 300 street pulls and 8 dyno pulls...
