other then the fact of it being a Honda motor?

lol.
I think some parts are harder to find for them then bseries. like manifolds and such. I think the bottoms were pretty stout, but something makes me think I read something about the Rods in the past?

Try a search too, cuz i know i read some chit on here about them plenty of times

The sleeves are not metal: they are a fiber composite that requires a special touch to run with high-psi turbo applications. I would suggest a full-sleeve job if you're planning to make that much power.

i think it's with the sleeves, that they need to be resleeved to use any type of forged piston. Correct me if i'm wrong

damn someone beat me to it lol

The ringlands are the weakest, they'll go real quick if your not carefull. The block is made of FRM "fiber reinforced material". It's good stuff, strong as **** however it makes it real abrasive to aluminum forged pistons.

So in order for you to really up the boost you'll have to resleeve the block. (But there is a rumor that Mahles new gold coated piston is made so you don't have to resleeve). Noones tried it yet.

Defenitely sleeve the block, the stock block will not tolerate anyboost above 8-9 psi. Save the hassle and get it sleeved, and as for h22 parts, they have plenty of aftermarket parts for them to do your build. Any help just pm me.

weisco is supposed to have a piston with coated skirts that can run in the frm sleeve also, but i have yet to see proof.

As for the weak points it is the ringlands as stated above. They will go before anything else, and they usually give out around 350ish whp

Yeah apparently Mahle makes pistons that work with the h22 fiber sleeves now. But they are really expensive... hehe. Money that could be used towards sleeves and regular pistons.

agreed on a stock bottom its the ringlands that will go first..

the frm-compatible Mahle pistons are advertsied to so but I personally wouldnt wanna be the guinea pig for that price tag.
