Default GT4088r

Well tuned my fully built 84.5mm sleeved Gsr motor with a full valvetrain done up with stainless valves dual springs and titanium retainers victor x manifold port match to a 76mm throttle body 3inch boost piping and a full race divided top mount turbo manifold and dual 44mm wastegates 4inch exhaust the turbo has a 1.06 turbine the car made 376.9hp with 289.9lbs tq on 15psi on pump gas power ran out due to cams. I think the number's are not very great for what i have done to the motor I was wondering if switching to ctr cams might help or would it what is the max boost some of you guys are running on pump gas the motor is built for high boost so yes I know little low boost for a gt4088r kinda figured that might be why its not putting the numbers I thought it would on 15psi please no clowning just need some advice

somethings definitely holding it back. I've made more power than that on stock b16 cams. the tune maybe?

the setup looks solid on paper, but without a good tune well...

I definately know its not the cams. GSR cams can easily make 500+whp. but there are many variables and its always hard to compare numbers. What kind of dyno? intercooler? and turn up the boost with some race gas. how capable is your tuner?

the cams are fine, no need to switch, could be just the tuner

many have used ctr cams. i am going to in my future setup. but first find out whats going on with your current setup because as people have said, its not the cams holding your power back... its something else. good luck and post back whenever you find out!

Car we tuned Friday with a setup very similar to your's. Only difference is stock throttle body, CTR cams, full 3" CRX exhaust, AEM EMS, NAPA distributor (changing) and 11lbs creeping to 12.8lbs/13lbs

something is def. wrong with your car. either the tune or something else. with that setup, 15psi should be netting u around 450whp! i was making 370whp on 10 psi with a GT3582R on a 81mm LS/VTEC. u have n e dyno graphs to post up?

Hey alpha, do you have any graphs of that vs rpm? The spool doesnt look that bad at all.

my first guess would be that vtec isnt working. if that 289ft lbs were at 9000rpm, or even 8500 then you would have 470+whp.

without a dyno graph its tough to say though.

Thats what I made with a 84.5 mm LS vtec but ctr cams and 70mm TB divided mani and 1 tial 44mm WG tunned on E85. Maybe the vtec wasn't engaging like some one stated.

Sorry. I don't. We were having issues with the pickup, distributor and dyno stacks that day. If I remember correctly 85MPH is about 5400RPM - 5500RPM
