GT35R vids please
hey guys, searched on yahoo, google and youtube.
All I can find is vids with evo's and STi's with GT35R's.
So all you street or track tuned honda lovers with GT35R's. If you could kindly post up some vids of your set-ups that would be great.
Im building a ls/vtec set up for a friend, and he would like to see how gt35r's respond on Honda's/
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Travis

no video but dyno graph of a GT35R T4 in a 1.8 LS/VTEC at 10-11psi. u will be happy with the results, trust me. and a video wont do the 35r justice. u need to feel it hands on

i dont know how to read dyno sheets that well.. when did u get full boost at? I was thinking about either 30r or 35r.. but i dont know which one would be better more power fast spool ect

Well on that dyno graph it doesnt show rpms so its impossible to gauge where he got full spool at! I was wondering the same thing also! You cant have more power and fast spool. It just doesnt work like that in reality.
If you have a 1.8L motor and put the 30r on there compared to the 35r. The 30r will spool faster and might have more of a usuable bottom end to midrange, but the 35r wont spool as fast, but might have a better midrange to topend! It has a lot of factors. Depends on what your looking for!

I have a 85mm ls vtec with a built head. im planing to rev it to probably 9-9.4k rpm.. so i guess more high end.. maybe 35r
the thing is im only aiming for 400- 500 whp.. probably nothing more

if you're only aiming for 500whp and nothing more then a 30r is the best, also 30r's always sound better in the videos dont know why.
all i have on you tube is my gt35r pump gas dyno pulls, nothing special really doesnt do the car justice. this spring ill have a nice 5-6 minute video all proffesional looking, well if i can learn this damn sony vegas crap, its taking me about 6-7 hours to do 30 seconds.
well heres one only because noone has posted any up, stopping at 7700, 16psi 445whp.
short version of setup:
benson sleeved b18c, cp pistons pauter rods
fully built head p&p ferrea valves crower springs/ret
synapse top mount and downpipe with 2.75" charge piping.
t1 coil on plug conversion with aem ems
gt35r .82
if u look at my graph mine is roughly the same as above said 200whp by 5k and then up from there. power is still rising at 9k even with boost dropping off from 26 to 24psi. gonna do a little more tuning from 9-9500 and see where it goes

i cant wait to get my car running.. i just got some pauter rods, cp pistons, erl girdle, and a built b16 head and im only running 400-500 tops...

A video will help in seeing how the car responds; ie: boost response, throttle response, traction, power transition, powerband vs gearing and so forth. You ain't getting any of that with a stupid dyno plot. Load your car in 5th gear and you will have earlier spool times than loading it in 3rd gear.
On the other hand, you won't find too many videos especially street videos for GT35R Hondas. 1. these cars have moved towards being a track or dyno queen 2. To push this turbo to its full potential, it needs race gas. You don't go out to shoot video clips with race trim and on race gas that is expensive as hell. 3. The car is probably way too fast for guys who barely get to drive the damn thing because their cars have been sitting in the shop for decades

just a quick question here, what is the difference btween the t3 gt35r and the t4 one? Don't they have the same turbine wheel and compressor side, isn't the only difference the turbine housing? Just a flange difference or is the whole housing different?

I beg to differ, my car stays on race gas, and actually I think I spend less money on gas as compared to my NA (as in stock) car.
Proof

i have vids just have to get my friend to put them on his computer but in the mean time heres my dyno. i love my gt35r. spool time is fast and it makes alot of power
gt35r on a gsr 2liter
dark lines = 30psi race
light lines = 1 bar pump

Huh? I am guessing what you are saying is that your stock NA car uses more money on gas than say race gas on your turbo car. Obviously, because you don't drive your turbo car too often...
Give me some of those race gas if you can get them cheaper than pump. Hit me up bro!
