GT in B16A - Best Choice!
I did a search before but nothing match...
I was wondering if there is anyone running a GT30R, GT3071R or GT 2871R on a B16A stock bore.
How would the spool time of this turbo be on a B16?
This is for a street/strip daily driven 93 Hatchback.
Block is semi build stock bore with 9:1 compr. pistons and eagle rods, arp.
My goal is to get about 450-550whp when I'm at the strip and 400whp daily.
Let me know what you think

i am currently building the same thing. i would say go with a gt28rs but your goal is a little higher than what it would support. so i say go with the GT30R, same thing i'm goin with.

he's got a point, ive seen a b16 (em1) with this kind of setup, http://www.turboed.com , his ride is pretty damn clean. you should go to that webiste and check out the videos, if that doesnt work then go to streetfire.net and search 'turboed' to find some more videos.
hes runnin a gt35r 20 psi on pump. i just cant find the hp numbers. and im sure it was his daily driver too.

A GT2871R will not make 550whp or even 500whp. I would say that turbocharger will make 410whp max on a 1.6 liter B16a. Your best bet would be a GT3076RLS with a large A/R turbine housing.
I refer to the GT30R as the GT3076R. It has a 76mm exducer on the compressor wheel. The GT30RLS / GT3076RLS with a larger turbine A/R will get you close but wont get you there.
Are you running meth in this car?
Good luck
