Default gsr turbo question

Alright well I am trying to turbo my GSR and it's a B18C1 everything stock except for the type R pistons which are the usdm * P73's IM wanting to know if turbocharging the car on that set up in which I do have the headstuds and block guard as well as new valve train and ported and polished head.....will I be able to turbo it?? I know I will not be able to go very high and no more than 10psi anyways and if anybody has an input on this please let me know cause I think my compression is around 11 to 1 so please let me know if I will be able to have a strong and reliable motor with that compression*
And it will be tuned with Neptune*

You can boost that motor just fine. Compression isnt a HUGE deal ( people turbo B18C5's a lot ). Everything is in the tune, you can run 14 psi on a stock motor, once again with that id recommend a shop dyno tune it for you. But as for your question, 10PSI wouldnt be any problem at all. Im running 10PSI on my stock B16 with Hondata and dont have any problems what so ever, other than running a little to rich!

The only thing I would worry about is the tuner that you are gonna be using. Compression ratio isnt a deal breaker when turbocharging your car unless your unsure of your tuners capabilities. Dont get caught up on psi either, just set a power goal and tune accordingly. You wont make as much max power as a lower compression engine but you will have more power per psi. This will make it a fun car if set up properly

Agreed with boostedeg302. The higher compression will make your car move a lot faster at low RPMs cuz its all motor till your turbo spools up and takes over. ALL IN THE TUNE!
