Default GSR-T project

hey everyone, what's up? I've been searching for an answer for a really long time, but haven't found one. I have finally saved up around $6,500, and want to build up my engine and put on a Drag turbo. I've got a stock B18C1 engine, but plan to rebuild the engine to handle around 20 psi boost. Here's the question, I am looking at either 8.4:1 or 8.7:1 Wiseco pistons. I would like to run between 16-18 pounds of boost. What would you recommend be the best set up for this. Also, I'm still pretty confused with the whole fuel system thing. I am interested in the Hondata s100 system with the boost option. What else do I need with this setup besides the High Volume fuel pump? My ultimate goal is to get around 300 whp. What do you guys recommend? Also, does anyone know a good shop in the New England or Carolina areas to have the turbo installed and tuned? Yes, I know i'm pathetic for paying somebody else to install the turbo, but I honestly don't know enough about the tuning nor am I going to claim that I do so I don't want to f*ck up thousands of dollars of work and time in the engine. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

that desired c/r is very low, why you want it that low. You can still run alot of boost with 9:1, 9.5:1, or even 9.8:1 c/r and have alot better low end.
also why spend that much money and go with a drag kit? there are alot of other options with better parts.
g'luck on the setup

that cr is low.... I'd go w/ 9:1 or higher
to get your c1 to handle 20 lbs, you're gonna probably want it sleeved along w/ pistons and rods as well, so there goes many hundreds of dollars right there.

as far as your fuel management is concerned, getting a new fuel pump is essential if you want 300+whp, and you're gonna need new fuel injectors as well...
hondata s200 w/ boost gets a big from pretty much everyone on this board, so you're looking good there

Personally, I wouldn't waste your $$ on buying a kit ESPECIALLY if you're not doing the install yourself. You can customize a setup for less $ and it you'll attain your hp goals a lot easier.... (also, turbo is a BOLT ON application..... YOU CAN DO IT YOURSELF!!)

There are lots of shops on the east coast...... search the sponsor's section.
Good job finding your way to the FI forum though, SEARCH SEARCH SEARCH and you can pretty much find the answer to ANY of your questions

See what everyone else is doing.... then do something different.

Give 8.8 CR or 8.5CR a try....see how it work.... Most factory turbo cars at 8.5:1.
